CPI
moves to the Penthouse
 |
 |
An auspicious start for CPI in 2004 is the transfer of its offices
from the 3rd floor to the Penthouse of Quadstar Bldg. The Penthouse
office is almost double the size of the current space being occupied
by CPI. It consists of an East Wing which will house the Management
Team, the GenIISys Team and the Conference Rooms. The West Wing
on the other hand will have the training rooms as well as the Finance
Team.
The move is in connection with the increase in space requirement
for our Oracle training courses. The requirement is in compliance
with CPI being recently accepted as an Oracle Approved Education
Center. The scheduled transfer is first week of March 2004.

CPI now an Oracle
Approved Education Center
 |
 |
CPI
recently signed with Oracle Philippines to be an Oracle Approved
Education Center. The Oracle Approved Education Center (OAEC) program
is a complement to Oracle University's direct education business,
providing Oracle training in locations where Oracle University does
not maintain a direct presence. Oracle University provides Oracle
licensed software products and Oracle developed curriculum to support
OAEC classes. Education partners provide training at their sites
and at customer sites with partner employed instructors approved
by Oracle University. Approved courses are a subset of Oracle University
course offerings and are determined by Oracle. OAEC classes are
in the Oracle University registration system and appear in Oracle
University marketing materials.

GUC Members
honored
 |
 |
It
was an early Christmas gathering prepared for the GenIISys Users
Circle (GUC) members last December 10, 2003 held at the Via Mare
Restaurant in Ortigas Center. Everybody present enjoyed participating
in the games that had them moving around in the room, picking their
brains for insurance terms and recalling Filipino Christmas food.
After a sumptious buffet lunch, Baby Ramirez, GenIISys Team Leader
presented the major achievements of the GUC and the GenIISys Team
as well as the planned new features to be incorporated in 2004.
During the event, the active members were honored by CPI with Special
Awards which recognized their individual efforts and contributions
to the success of the GUC.

CPI now a member
of The Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA)
 |
 |
CPI
further strengthened its position in the local software industry
by joining The Philippine Software Industry Association. By being
a member of this organization, CPI will be supporting the advocacy
programs of the PSIA one of which is the passage of the Optical
Media Bill. This bill will enhance the ability of the industry to
generate export earnings and to generate more jobs in the country.
The membership in the PSIA also expands CPI's foreign market exposure
because of PSIA's affiliation with Outsource Philippines, the one-stop
information gateway to the country's ICT services which include
among others, Business Process Outsourcing, Software Development
and Maintenance.
