CPI moves to the Penthouse

An auspicious start for CPI in 2004 is the transfer of its offices from the 3rd floor to the Penthouse of Quadstar Bldg. The Penthouse office is almost double the size of the current space being occupied by CPI. It consists of an East Wing which will house the Management Team, the GenIISys Team and the Conference Rooms. The West Wing on the other hand will have the training rooms as well as the Finance Team.

The move is in connection with the increase in space requirement for our Oracle training courses. The requirement is in compliance with CPI being recently accepted as an Oracle Approved Education Center. The scheduled transfer is first week of March 2004.

CPI now a member of The Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA)

CPI further strengthened its position in the local software industry by joining The Philippine Software Industry Association. By being a member of this organization, CPI will be supporting the advocacy programs of the PSIA one of which is the passage of the Optical Media Bill. This bill will enhance the ability of the industry to generate export earnings and to generate more jobs in the country. The membership in the PSIA also expands CPI's foreign market exposure because of PSIA's affiliation with Outsource Philippines, the one-stop information gateway to the country's ICT services which include among others, Business Process Outsourcing, Software Development and Maintenance.

Mapfre currently deals with an agency force, numbering to the hundreds and who are geographically spread out in Metro Manila and the provinces. The business challenge Mapfre faces is to keep both agents and head office informed and up-to-date with production, claims, remittances as well as company news. Ray Gonzalez, VP for I.T.
