Anthony Cuevas, OCP

Congratulations to Anthony Cuevas for completing the Oracle Certified Professional Exams, Developer Track! Anthony passed his certification with flying colors all in one take. Anthony said It took him about 3 months to complete the 3 tests. He prepared himself beforehand by reviewing the training manuals as well as downloading reviewers and sample tests from the internet. He went over the materials again and again until he’s confident enough to take the actual test. According to Anthony, about half of the multiple choice questions consisted of concepts found in the manuals and the other half comprised of practical questions. His advise to the other programmers, “Take note of the details in the manuals as the questions were mostly from it. Yung 2 hour exam can actually be finished in 1 hour. Madali lang yung exam basta magbasa lang!”

Hopefully, Anthony’s confidence and persistence rub-off on the other Oracle programmers and DBAs and encourage them to take the Oracle Certification! We are proud of you Anthony! Hip, Hip, Hooray!

CPI Logo’s New Look

The CPI logo has been witness to a lot of changes in and around CPI - change of office location, changes in people, changes in technology, changes in business focus, changes in the IT industry, etc. It has silently yet bravely stood by us all through our 17 years of existence. Now we want it to keep up with the times and give it the new look that it deserves.
We see the new logo as reflecting CPI’s dynamism, professionalism, and its track record of quality service. It also mirrors CPI’s embracing the values of integrity and fairness in dealing with both its customers and people. We do hope that this is what our friends and clients see as well.

This new logo is also a call to all of us at CPI to keep up with what the logo stands for. Let us each be bearers of that dynamism, professionalism, integrity and fairness as we go about our daily tasks. Let the new logo inspire us to even be more conscious of the quality of our work at all times.

Authorized Sun Education Center

CPI is now an Authorized Sun Education Center. As such CPI can offer Sun certified training courses that come with Sun developed training materials, a Sun certified training facilitator and certificates of completion.

Take The Certification Exams For Free!

In case you don’t know yet, CPI sponsors the certification exams for regular employees of 1 year. There are a few simple steps in being an OCP once you’ve chosen your track (programming, DBA, java).

Step #1. Study and Review (take the mock exams in the internet and correct your mistakes)
Step #2. Schedule your exam with your preferred Testing Center. Inform CPI of the date and time of your exam so that the check payment can be prepared.
Step #3. Take the exam.
Step #4. Inform CPI of your exam score.

In the event that you do not pass an exam, the exam fee will be deducted against your salary on acceptable terms. This should not dishearten you from continuing but rather should push you on to review all the more and retake the exam soonest. Once you’ve completed the exams in your track, Oracle will deliver the Certificates to CPI and we will file them in your 201 file. All that CPI will require for those who successfully become OCP’s is that they remain with the company for another 6 months which is not a very long time to further hone your skills and share these with future Oracle programmers.
